The Reading Awards Ceremony/Book Character Dress Up day includes K-6th grades during Elementary Chapel. Students will receive awards and prizes. To help make it a special day of celebration, K-6 students are encouraged to dress as a favorite book character for school that day. Here are a few guidelines to help as you plan your costume:
- Follow the school dress code and wear something that you can play in comfortably for recess.
- All costumes should be based on book characters. (Bible characters are always a great idea!)
- Please, no scary or bloody costumes and NO weapons (real or fake).
- Try Pinterest or click here for ideas. No need to buy anything new or fancy. Get creative with items that are already at home.
If you have questions about your book character costume, please contact your teacher or the Media Center. We look forward to a fun day of celebrating reading!
