Visual Arts Program

CCA’s comprehensive visual arts program provides students with a solid foundation in art fundamentals and the opportunity to specialize in areas of interest. It encourages creativity, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills, while also fostering a lifelong appreciation for art.

We offer a diverse range of courses that cater to students of all skill levels and interests. Our program includes a foundation in basic art principles and techniques, as well as specialized courses in 2D, 3D, and graphic design.

Elementary & Middle School Art

  • Design

    Students study the principles of design, including balance, rhythm, emphasis, and contrast. They apply these principles to create two-dimensional and three-dimensional compositions.
  • Drawing

    Students learn fundamental drawing techniques, including pencil, charcoal, and ink. They explore various styles, such as realistic, abstract, and expressive.
  • Painting

    Students experiment with different painting mediums, such as acrylics, watercolors, and oils. They learn color theory, composition, and brushwork techniques.

High School Art

  • 2D Design

    Students focus on creating two-dimensional artworks, such as illustrations, comics, and digital art. They learn about digital tools, software, and techniques for creating and manipulating images.
  • 3D Design

    Students explore three-dimensional art forms, including sculpture, ceramics, and mixed media. They learn about sculpting techniques, materials, and processes.
  • Graphic Design

    Students learn the principles of graphic design, including typography, layout, and color theory. They use design software to create visual communication materials, such as logos, posters, and websites.
