Discipleship
Partnering with parents to prepare students for a lifetime of fruitful Christian service.
At Calvary Chapel Academy, we are dedicated to the pursuit of Biblical worldview discipleship. In light of that dedication, students have weekly chapels, Bible-based curriculum, and annual team-building trips. Desiring that our students be doers of the word and not hearers only, students at CCA are also challenged to make Him known through local and international outreaches.
Students are also encouraged to develop community at CCA. This is accomplished through a variety of clubs, activities, and outreaches.
As students share and serve together, they challenge and strengthen each other, forging lifelong friendships and creating an unforgettable community.
Additionally, the leadership at CCA desires to partner with parents who are active Christ followers, to provide quality Christian education, and that when students leave CCA they are prepared for a lifetime of fruitful Christian service.
Equipping Christ Followers
Hello family,
CCA is honored to aid parents in your children's discipleship, which begins in the home (Deut.4:7, Eph. 6:4). Jesus described discipleship in terms of likeness education Luke 6:40: "A pupil is not above his teacher; but everyone, after he has been fully trained, will be like his teacher" (NASB).
It is my privilege, as Director of Discipleship to pray for and ensure your child is being taught and modeled the principle found in Matthew 28:18-20. When a student comes to faith in Jesus, they are "taught to observe all that Jesus commanded them." This process takes place in many forms here at CCA, such as weekly chapel worship and talks, small groups, Bible classes, mission trips, and retreats for our older students. Our teachers begin each class with prayer and model disciple-making.
With this parent/school(church) partnership, a beautiful thing happens, God begins to work in the life of children and begins shaping their hearts and minds of the world with Christ at the center. Our students start to see this world, including science, math, history, and literature from a biblical perspective. All of this has the goal of producing rock-solid disciples of Jesus, who have been equipped to live as CF's (Christ Followers) in the world and eventually making disciples of their own.
